Project Manager
Description
We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Project Manager to lead and manage government software projects from initiation to delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software project management, excellent communication skills, and hands-on experience working with public sector clients, including ministries, government agencies, and state-owned enterprises.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of government software projects.
- Act as the primary point of contact for government clients, ensuring clear and effective communication at all stages.
- Manage cross-functional internal teams (developers, QA, design, deployment) to meet project goals.
- Ensure all deliverables meet contract requirements, compliance standards, and timeline expectations.
- Coordinate project documentation, reporting, and audits as required by government stakeholders.
- Handle risk assessment and issue resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure projects are delivered within scope, on time, and within budget.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of public sector procurement, compliance, and data protection regulations.
- Prepare technical and progress reports for submission to government bodies.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing software or IT projects, preferably in the government/public sector.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking.
- Familiarity with government procurement processes, tendering, and documentation.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to handle high-pressure environments and strict deadlines.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field. PMP certification is a plus.
